College Essay Support

Write to Find Your Voice
Telling your story for the college essay

So much of the college application process depends on the strength of your personal essay. But the very qualities that set kids apart—independent thinking, self-awareness and an authentic personal voice—are not supported in most academic settings. That’s where we can help.

Like all our writing programs, our private classes support young people in discovering and developing their own unique voice, both as writers and as individuals. Through an in-depth process of writing and talking about their lives, students learn to articulate their values, passions, and interests, thinking about how they want to use their strengths in service to the world—and how to tell their story in an authentic and inspiring way.

Fun fact:  every student who’s written with us has been accepted into one of their first-choice schools, including Brown, Northeastern, Northwestern, Tufts, USC, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, American University and Duke. Truly, a well-told story can change your life!
